Paryavaran Mitra - Uttar Pradesh and Bihar: Paryavaran Mitra is an action-based Hand Print programme for children focusing on sustainability and Climate Change education that envisions creating Paryavaran Mitras (Friends of the Environment) in schools across India. The programme aims to guide, facilitate, capacity build children through curriculum-linked activities and co-curricular action projects to take positive environmental action to impact at individual, community, national and global level. A Paryavaran Mitra is a child, teacher, or any individual who has a personal commitment to take positive environmental action. The commitment to take action usually begins with an awareness of what immediately surrounds us. But awareness alone may not automatically lead to action.
